Digital Art

In 1990, Lane Hall and I walked through the Art Institute of Chicago discussing the future of art. Lane had recently been in Grad school at UW Madison and was deeply involved with the new world of digital art. We argued it’s merits and I held my ground as a good Luddite but I was intrigued . Shortly after that my dean told me in no uncertain terms that my future would be brighter if I learned how to use a computer. I went out and purchased an Amiga with a 13” screen and within a year I was entering competitions in Europe. Thanks, Lane, for kicking me in the butt.
