Early on in my years as an artist I did figurative paintings. A few years ago I was working on some abstract compositions and did the drawing above without the figure. It just struck me as being a figure re-entering my life so I went with it. I had seen a great art nouveau show in London that excited me so I said “What the hell” and went for it in a big way. I know that this type of work is not so popular in the zeitgeist of the new century but I really don’t care anymore. “Let the dogs run free”
