Abstraction

I grew up in Indiana in the 1950’s with a large abstract painting above my bed that my father painted. Abstraction was so uncommon back then in central Indiana that my junior high art teacher got mad at me for trying to do an abstract drawing. He said “We don’t do those things” and shunned me from that point on. Sorry Mr. Rogers, I continue to go astray.
